Former Fernando Recipient Bert Boeckmann Passes Away
Dear Family Friends,
It is with profound sadness and extreme heavy hearts that we are writing to let you know that our beloved Bert Boechmann, the Patriarch of the Boeckmann Family, has passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. Bert died exactly two years to the day that the love of his life, his wife Jane, passed away. Theirs was the ultimate love story. Bert was 92 years of age when he passed.
Bert was an Automotive Legend, who stood apart with all of his accomplishments, but you would never know it based on how he made you feel. He always welcomed everyone with whom he interacted with open arms, treated them with respect, and went to great lengths to make sure they felt listened to and that they were treated fairly. Bert was a man of unwavering faith, as well as incredible kindness, integrity, caring, compassion and a remarkable humanitarian. He was also a true pioneer, innovator, leader, legend, Hall-of-Famer, public servant, philanthropist, friend to everyone, loving husband, father, uncle, brother, grandfather and great-grandfather.
We miss Bert tremendously, but find peace in knowing that he is once again together in Heaven with the love of his life, Jane Boeckmann.
Bert is survived by his daughters Laverne and Denise; sons Brett, Brad, Beau and their spouses. Also 12 Grandchildren, 9 Great-Grandchildren, Sisters-In-Laws Thura and Gloria, and many extended family members, including but not limited to those in the Boyd and McCord families.
Once arrangements for the Memorial Service have been finalized, we will be sure to let you know.
Thank you for your support!
