Fernando Award Foundation Scholarships

The Fernando Award Foundation offers unique scholarships to graduating high school seniors and community college students in the San Fernando Valley.  These scholarships are not based on GPA, but rather on the student’s involvement in community service and volunteerism performed outside of that required by the schools. To date, the Fernando Award Foundation has awarded nearly $150,000 in college scholarships.

The scholarships include:

$1,000 scholarships to graduating seniors and community college students which may be used for a university, community college or trade school.

Local high school principals, counselors, teachers, community college professors and community members are invited to identify and nominate students who they believe are qualified for the scholarship awards.
